The media business has been RBC's core business area since 1993. Nowadays, RBC is one of Russia's largest media holdings, operating in three main market segments: Internet, television and print media.
Internet is the company's primary focus, in which RBC has traditionally held leadership in the news and business content categories as one of the first market entrants. RBC has also established a strong foothold in the business television and business publications segments, which have strong synergies with the Internet business. In line with the market trends, RBC will continue to place special emphasis on the development of its online resources and services, as well as RBC TV, while the print media segment is viewed as an additional source of revenue and will continue to provide support for the company's high level of brand recognition and brand awareness.
In keeping with its efficient business model, which is primarily underpinned by advertising and online services, RBC's goal is to maintain revenue growth at least on par with the market average in the future. In order to achieve this goal, RBC plans to combine organic expansion of the company's business and lucrative acquisitions, first and foremost in the fastest-growing Internet segment.
The key operating goal for RBC is to ensure a high popularity of RBC’s resources among Russian-speaking audiences in the CIS and all over the world. In terms of financial management RBC's objective is to increase company’s profitability.
