RBC named among Russia's most actively and consistently growing companies in 2002
Moscow, May 29, 2003 - OAO RBC Information Systems (RTS: RBCI; MICEX: RU14RBCI4001) was named among Russia's most actively and consistently growing companies. Entrants were judged on their accomplishments in 2002. RBC earned a leading position in the category for media, information, advertising and consulting companies. The rating is administered by the Economic News Agency.
The jury consisted of experts from the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Association of Russian Banks, the Russian Union of Insurers and NAUFOR (the National Association of Stock Market Participants) as well as top managers and professionals from the leading mass media, analytical think tanks, major commercial firms and public organizations.
The winners were determined on the basis of growth dynamics, reputation on the Russian market and prospects for development. The rating was compiled with the use of both quantitative data available and expert assessments.
Earlier the National Association of Stock Market Participants held an annual ceremony of awarding winners of the national contest "Elite of the Stock Market 2002". The aim of this contest is to draw public attention to the Russian stock market, support and promote its participants and encourage professional advancement. The panel of experts recognized RBC as the best news agency providing economic and financial information.
