RBC acquires all rights for the 'Company of the Year' business award program
Moscow, November 26, 2003 - OAO RBC Information Systems (RTS, MICEX: RBCI) became the only organizer of the 'Company of the Year', following the acquisition of all rights for this national business award program from the public relations bureau Republic. This step is part of the company's strategic course for the structuring of RBC's businesses.
"We are aiming to make the structure of our business transparent and understandable for advertisers and sponsors," said RBC General Director Yuri Rovensky. "Additionally, this acquisition will lift the project onto a totally different level as RBC has new opportunities to develop and promote 'Company of the Year' awards. For instance, now the award ceremony is fully televised and broadcast on RBC's business television channel."
Marketing communications, which are mainly represented by the 'Company of the Year' and 'Person of the Year' national business awards and annual international conferences, is one of the core and dynamically growing businesses of RBC. This year 'Company of the Year' winners have been announced for the fifth year in a row. The aim of the project remains the same, i.e. to stimulate the development of business activities in Russia, draw attention of the international business community to Russia's leading companies, help them attract foreign investments and establish relations with foreign partners.
The latest award ceremony was held in Moscow on October 29, 2003. Among the winners were RAO UES of Russia, OMZ, Mechel Steel Group, Wimm-Bill-Dann, Arkhangelsk Pulp and Paper Mill, Razgulyai-UKRROS Group, Bank of Moscow, Rossiya Insurance Company, PIOGLOBAL Asset Management, Ernst & Young, Perekryostok, Techmarket, TransTeleCom, Dixis, Sbarro, Ramstore, Novorossiysk Commercial Seaport, Natalie Tours, 1C, First Investment Fund of Real Estate, Yarpivo, Prodimex, FosterGroup, Bank Zenit, Metropolitan Insurance Company, Norilsk Nickel, Industrial Group MAIR, Brunswick UBS, Equant, Rosbank, Komus, CSKA, RightON Group, S.P.I.
