RBC launches online automobile magazine Turbo.ru

Moscow, October 23, 2008 - RBC has announced the launch of the first Russian online magazine devoted to premium cars, Turbo.ru. The resource is dedicated to the topic of luxurious and stylish cars, as well as the lifestyle of their owners.

The new project's concept is based on featuring the most interesting analytical materials of the highest magazine-format quality about expensive cars, rather than offering dull descriptions of cars technical characteristics. The articles will be written by the experienced and professional editors of Autonews.ru, one of the most popular news resources on the Russian Internet devoted entirely to automobiles and owned by RBC. With the help of this team, the www.turbo.ru website will daily feature new articles about fashionable cars and their owners, as well as the life philosophy that goes hand-in-hand with a love of beautiful cars. The project's business model will be primarily based on advertising revenues from clients of the automobile and luxury sectors.

"In response to the high demand for advertising on topical resources expressed by automobile producers and car dealers, which jointly account for nearly one-third of RBC's revenue from advertising, we have decided to launch one more resource targeting an audience of affluent car fans. The cost of the resource's creation was not high, as RBC already has its own professional team of journalists working in the field of automobiles," said RBC Media General Director Artyom Inyutin.
