Sergey Lavrukhin tenders resignation as RBC CEO
Moscow, July 23, 2013 – RBC OJSC (MICEX-RTS: RBCM) hereby announces that Sergey Lavrukhin has decided to resign from RBC effective August 26, 2013. Sergey Lavrukhin was appointed RBC’s CEO in April 2012, having replaced German Kaplun, one of the company’s founders. The company’s Board of Directors will consider the termination of powers of Sergey Lavrukhin and the appointment of the next RBC CEO in the near future.
Chairman of RBC’s Board of Directors Derk Sauer said, “We are grateful to Sergey for his valuable contribution to RBC’s development. By taking the helm at the company during the difficult period when its founders left RBC in April 2012, he helped maintain the company’s highly qualified personnel and promoted the company’s business expansion.”
“Sergey devoted all his energy to successfully overcoming the crisis in RBC and will continue to serve as a member of RBC’s Board of Directors and Executive Director of Onexim Group,” Onexim Group’s CEO Dmitry Razumov noted.
“It was a great honor and responsibility for me to act as head of the country’s largest media holding. Over the past year and a half, a great deal has been achieved on the path towards maintaining the company’s leadership positions on the Russian media market. We were able to bring together the best team of professionals on the market. We revamped all of the holding’s key media resources, completed the consolidation of RU-CENTER with the hosting business, carried out internal audit, and restructured all non-core assets. I am confident that RBC now has all the resources at its disposal in order to retain its leadership on the media market,” Sergey Lavrukhin commented.
Before April 2012, Sergey Lavrukhin was Executive Director of Onexim Group, Chairman of the Board of Directors of RBC holding, CEO of Zhivi Media Group, Executive Director of ADV Marketing advertisement holding company and 2x2 Television Channel, as well as CFO at Prof-Media Publishing House.
