RBC TV launches studio in downtown Moscow
Moscow, May 21, 2012 — RBC OJSC (MICEX-RTS: RBCM) hereby announces the launch on May 15, 2012 of a new studio for the Russia's largest business television channel RBC TV in the Ararat Park Hyatt hotel in Moscow.
The new studio is conceived as a dialog platform aimed at bringing together representatives of business and political circles, providing commentaries and hosting discussions on Russia’s key economic and social issues. Its convenient location in the city center provides high-profile Russian business professionals, experts, and politicians an opportunity to promptly go on the air, which will help RBC TV to respond faster and to improve the quality of its news and analytic shows.
"The launch of the new studio is yet another step in line with RBC TV’s business development program, which seeks to expand and improve the channel’s content. We also intend to open a similar studio in the Federation Tower of the Moscow International Business Center,” RBC’s CEO Sergey Lavrukhin said. "Aggregate investments in the two projects are negligible, since they cover only technical equipment of the studio premises, which makes this a very appealing investment to RBC,” Sergey Lavrukhin added.
RBC TV is the first Russian business television channel, the leading and the largest business media in Russia. Its major foreign partners are Bloomberg TV and CNN. The channel's Russian audience exceeds 22 million viewers. RBC TV focuses on broadcasting economic and financial news in the country and around the world, providing commentaries, interviews and analysis by Russian and foreign experts.
