RBC Board sets the date of the Annual General Meeting 2003
Moscow, March 18, 2003 - at meetings held on March 5-7, the Board of Directors of RBC Information Systems (RTS: RBCI; MICEX: RU14RBCI4001) resolved to convene the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders on June 3, 2003.
The Board considered and approved preliminary financial and business results achieved by the company in 2002. RBC's business saw an impressive growth last year, fully in line with earlier given projections. The Board of Directors agreed with the management's conservative forecast of a 25% growth in existing businesses in 2003.
The Board rendered its unanimous approval of the management's actions aimed at the development of the business TV project and expressed its satisfaction with excellent results achieved in advertising pre-sales on the future television channel. "The volume of contracts, which have been signed to date, inspires us with confidence that we will receive significant revenues from advertising on RBC TV in the first year of broadcasting," said Chairman and CEO German Kaplun.
Additionally, the Board of Directors resolved to develop and introduce an Employee Share Option Program for top and middle management as well as for key employees. The motivation program will be aimed at retaining valuable employees and increasing the efficiency of RBC management to sustain the company's strong position in media and IT.
