Alexander Lyubimov appointed CEO of RBC TV

Moscow, November 17, 2011 RBC OJSC (MICEX, RTS: RBCM) hereby announces that renowned journalist and TV host Alexander Lyubimov has been appointed CEO of the largest Russian business television channel RBC TV.

Artyom Inyutin, the former CEO of RBC TV has been appointed Chairman of the channel's Board of Directors. He will oversee the channel's strategic development and cooperation with major Russian and foreign partners. At the same time, Artyom Inyutin will retain his position as RBC-Media's1 CEO.

Alexander Lyubimov is a prominent and respected TV journalist, successful producer and public figure who has more than 20 years of experience in working on Russian television. At different times, he has held executive positions in VID TV company, on Rossiya TV channel and Channel One, while running his own shows. His appointment as CEO of RBC TV is yet another step in the comprehensive changes that are taking place in the channel in 2011. Steps that have already been taken include a complete technical update of RBC TV, the launch of a new multi-functional studio complex, the rollout of a new programming grid and a revamp of the channel's design.

In the new capacity, he will continue work on the channel's development, which includes boosting of RBC TV's ratings. Alexander Lyubimov was born on June 23, 1962 in Moscow. He graduated from the Moscow State Institute for International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of USSR in 1984, Harvard University (USA) in 1996 and the International Animation Institute (USA) in 2006.

Alexander Lyubimov started his career as a reporter in 1984 working at the Overseas Broadcast Department of the USSR State Committee for Television and Radio Broadcasting (Gosteleradio).

In 1987 he made his debut on Central Television Youth Editorial Board, where he cofounded and hosted the Vzglyad (Viewpoint) talk show (1987-1991, 1994-2001).

He cofounded VID TV company and served on its executive board from 1993 to 1998.

In 1992-1993 he hosted the Krasny Kvadrat (Red Square) show and managed international broadcasting on the All-Russia State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company Ostankino (VGTRK).

In 1995-1998 Lyubimov hosted the Odin na Odin (Face to Face) TV show.

In 1997-1998 he headed the Directorate of News Broadcasting at the Public Russian Television TV channel (ORT).

In 1998-2001 he hosted a TV show Zdes y Seychas (Here and now).

In 1998 he joined and later was named Vice President of the Russian Television Academy.

In 2001-2003 he was appointed First Deputy CEO of Channel One Russia and produced several TV shows.

In 2001-2008 he cofounded the MediaUnion, a union of creative media professionals, and became its president.

In 2007-2011 he worked for Russia TV channel as a host, and in December 2007 was named First Deputy CEO in charge of marketing and development. He also made several appearances as a host.

RBC TV is the first Russian business television channel, the leading and the largest business media in Russia. The channel was launched in 2003. Its major partners are Bloomberg TV and CNN. The channel's Russian audience amounts to approximately 17 million people. RBC TV focuses on broadcasting economic and financial news in the country and around the world, providing commentaries, interviews and analysis by Russian and foreign experts.
