RBC launches updated version of RBC News app
Moscow, May 15, 2013 – RBC OJSC (MICEX-RTS: RBCM) has launched an updated version of RBC News application for iOS and Android mobile devices.
The key advantage of RBC News application is that it brings together content from across such media resources as RBC Information Agency, RBC daily newspaper, and channel RBC, including live broadcasts.
An upgraded design and a functional interface are the main innovations of the new version alongside a number of functions. For instance, users now have access to such widgets as weather, stock quotes, and time zones, which can be tailored to their needs. There is also an option to share news reports via social networks. Moving forward, the application’s feature set would continue to expand.
A smartphone version of RBC News applications is available for download from the AppStore and Google Play. A tablet-friendly version for iOS and Android will be launched by the end of April.
“RBC is a multimedia holding. Seeking to stay in touch with its audience and to deliver our content in the most convenient manner, RBC has made mobile application development one of its top priorities. We started monetizing our applications in 2012, and have achieved positive results. This year, the company intends to update all RBC applications for mobile platforms and tablets by rolling out new, modern design solutions and expanding their feature set. We are hopeful that users and advertisers will appreciate our initiatives,” RBC's CEO Sergey Lavrukhin said.
